Mediterranean Lamb Burger

Ingredients

2 pounds ground Cedar Springs or Shepherd’s Pride lamb
1 1/2 teaspoons oregano
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 1/2 teaspoons pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
3 cup sliced tomatoes
3 cup sliced cucumbers
1 1/2 cup red onions
6 ciabatta rolls
Tzatziki sauce, to taste
Red pepper hummus, to taste

Directions

  1. Mix the ground lamb, oregano, salt, pepper, and garlic powder in a large bowl and form the mixture into 1/4 pound patties.
  2. To Grill or Broil: Cook over medium-heat. Grill 4 inches from heat for 5 minutes on each side or until 160ºF for medium.
  3. Serve on a ciabatta roll and top with tomatoes, cucumber, red onions, tzatziki sauce and hummus.
