Mediterranean Lamb Meatballs with Greek Dipping Sauce

Ingredients for Mediterranean Lamb Meatballs

1 pound ground Cedar Springs or Shepherd’s Pride lamb
1/4 cup onion, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon coriander
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
1-1/2 teaspoons salt

Ingredients for Yogurt Sauce

1 cup plain Greek yogurt (whole milk)
1/2 tablespoon fresh cilantro, finely chopped
1/2 tablespoon fresh mint, finely chopped
1 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon coriander
zest of one lemon
salt and pepper, to taste

Directions

  1. Mix together meatball ingredients with hands, and form balls (between 20-24, depending on size).
  2. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Bake meatballs for 15-20 minutes, until cooked, or until internal temperature reaches 160 degrees F.
  3. In a medium bowl, mix together all Greek dipping sauce ingredients, then salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Serve meatballs on skewers or with toothpicks, and with Greek dipping sauce.
